Heath Street Choir

About the choir

Heath Street Choir, founded in January 2013, is a community choir in the Hampstead area.  It is based in Heath Street Baptist Church and gives two/three performances a year.  It helps support the various charities sponsored by the church, and employs local professional musicians to accompany their concerts at a proper professional rate.

The choir accepts members of all ages and levels of ability, and is a fantastic opportunity for local residents to meet new people and learn a new skill.  The choir director, Emily Gray, is a classically trained mezzo soprano and has an MA in Vocal Pedagogy.

The choir performs both sacred and secular music.

Join the choir

As a member of the choir you will learn the basics of sight reading and singing technique both in rehearsals and in separate workshops, and hopefully have some fun with an eclectic group of people.

The choir welcomes any prospective new members, regardless of their singing ability or previous experience.  No audition is required.  If you're interested in joining the choir please contact Emily Gray at emily@heathstreetchoir.com (who can also advise you about membership fees).

The choir meets during each term time on Thursdays at Heath Street Baptist Church from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.
