Tim Steemson is a drummer and percussionist based in the UK.

Commonly found inhabiting the drum chair amongst jazz, folk, singer-songwriter, orchestral and world music acts tucked away in various places across the UK, Tim is also becoming ever-increasingly known for his work on percussion; especially on cajon but also on all manner of whatever other things you can shake or hit or wave about.

You can make your own Tim using the following:

  • 1kg of drums, percussion, and general musical geekery
  • 500g of research into brain processes and learning methods
  • 750ml of creativity
  • 3 cups of music discovery and appreciation
  • 1 cup of food discovery and appreciation
  • 1tsp puns

(Mix thoroughly and cook for 20-something years.)

Tim is currently living in London, but was born and raised in Northumberland, North-East England, and despite this his accent remains fairly understandable. He is married to a ridiculously talented graphic designer, whose site you should definitely check out next: here.
